I thought this thread needed to be started - we can use it to chronicle the progress of our "Gary frags."

:)

I just picked up a gorgeous pink pocillopora "frag" today. I can't believe how nice it looks!
Unfortunately, my camera is out of batteries right now. I'm off to go ransack the house for the charger.

Gary - it was great meeting you today and getting to see your tank in person. I'll be back :spin1:

Okay - house turned inside-out, and still no battery charger. Here's a cell phone pic - I couldn't get one closer up because the lights are too strong.

Incidentally, the coral seems to have turned purple. The picture really doesn't show the color well - it looks great. That's not a bad sign right? Bleaching would be losing color I assume.

thanks for the kind words :)

The coral looks good IMO and placement is great there. I'd be surprised if it bleached. The apparent color difference is probably due to the T5's. That "frag" was under a 400w 14k Ushio metal halide in my aquarium.

true story:

many years ago I sold a frag of "Red Planet" to someone that complained to me the frag was much too large :spin2:

I'm a fan of anyone that sells beefy frags, the short time I've been here I've seen Gary hand out some monsters :)

Add me to the I <3 Gary club too....I think more than half of the corals I have in my tank are from Gary (Green Slimer, Blue Tip Acropora, Purple Cap, Green Cap, "Unknown Scrolling" Monti, and the same Pink Pocillopora that you just added to your tank).
