Some people never get good coralline growth. It’s a sine of good husbandry and water parameters. I think its one of those things either you like it or you don’t.
I suppose I could always just scrape the coralline, and see whether I like it or not - kind of like a hair cut..... it'll grow back
On another subject, I'm finding I'm really missing the purple clam and bright yellow suns. I'm thinking about replacing the clam - maybe.... but yellow I just don't know. The sun coral is in my other tank now and it so much easier there. It was such a PITA to feed it in the 29g with the clowns and cleaner shrimp in there....
Lizz,
Love the tank. The motion of the corals in the tank has to be amazing. Thats why I always have liked the softies vs the SPS tanks. Very nice placement of the corals. Maybe a bigger tank is in the future?
The tank is looking real good Lizz! And I have to say I like the clean back in yours for some reason as well. I guess for me it seems to make things pop more. But that’s JMHO. And you know, really either way your tank has two of the most important traits of an awesome looking tank…. for me anyway, and that's nice rockwork and beautiful corals and that’s really what it’s all about anyway. So kudos to you for an awesome tank with or without coralline algae growing on the back lol.
Thanks Paul and Dave
Paul - no plans for a larger tank. I don't really think it's my style - + even thinking about changing out more than five gallons at a time makes my back hurt . I do have a smaller (7G) one though! Need to post a thread there.....
