I almost couldn't believe my eyes...

I picked up 2 radient wrasses at Sea Schor today. Performed the usual acclimation then proceeded to put them into the tank. I figured that I would do my regular feeding at the same time to distract the more aggressive usual suspects.

Well it worked for about 10 minutes then the battle proclaiming the chain of command commenced (which I expected). What I did not expect was for my female clown (black saddleback affectionally named "beotch") to grab ahold of one of them and ram him right into the mouth of my 18" blue S. Haddoni. If that wasn't shocking enough, the wrasse darted right back out albeit a bit dazed. If that is not enough, it all happened a second time.

At that point, I had to go and pick up my son from his baseball game. I got back home about an hour ago and have not seen either wrasse yet.

Hopefully they are just hiding and biding their time.

Jimmy

So basically, the bully jammed the new kid at school into a garbage can?

For all intensive purposes, yep.

might be okay if they aren't hosting in an anemone, kenettson. Not as territorial then and no garbage can to stuff the new kid into :)

Ive never seen my radient in the sand.

I have personally seen several of the Halichoeres species hide in the sandbed when spooked.

How could you see it, if it's 'IN' the sand? ;)

Not sure about radiant wrasses, but I do know that all these guys are right about the coris wrasses. Seen a 7 inch adult hide itself in one inch of sand somehow.
