That's a real beauty! I have thought of getting one of those a while back. I would love to see some more! Pretty uncommon.

Thanks a lot. Yes they are very uncommon which makes it all the more neat to own. I dont believe they will host a clownfish as far as I know but then again I dont have any clowns. They are very unique and very aggressive. I've been feeding this one Chromis. They do let off a very very powerful sting so gloves should be worn when handling. Although I've never been stung by one I know someone who has and said the only thing worse is a lionfish sting. The tenticals on it aka the softies are very very sticky and most things that touch it are likely to either get caught or stung. I have mostly bigger fish in my tank so I dont worry about anything being eaten however, he did almost get ahold of my leopard wrasse one day when the wrasse was feeling very daring.

I started this thread in hopes that more people have them. I know they are uncommon but come in a vast variety of colors. I'm hoping more people will share and spread their knowledge. Not many people know about these wonderful animals.

They are not uncommon per say- just uncommon in the business. Mainly due to the fact they have a crazy sting- and are successful fish eaters. Great to see and good for a species tank.

Gorgeous anemone, but...poor chromis! :sad2: Won't it take thawed frozen foods? My BTAs and maxi-minis are thriving on scallops and krill and the like. I don't mean to criticize you; it just seems like such a painful death for the fish. :(

Painful perhaps, yes. But natural. No different than anything he'd eat in the wild. No difference than the shrimp that are killed and processed and frozen that we feed.
