I am wondering if a regal angelfish, Copper banded butterfly, Flame angel, coral beauty, kole tang, hippo tang are suitable for a 90 gallon reef tank?

NOTE: I am not considering putting these fish together, I am wondering if they are sutable individualy or one or two put together (ex. Kole Tang, regal angelfish).

Are you going to be upgrading or is this the final home of these fish? What else is already in your 90gal? Is this tank going to be reef(im assuming since this is the forum your on) or fish only?

The Copperband, Flame Angel, Coral Beauty, and Kole Tang should all do fine in a tank of that size since they stay small. The Regal Angel and Hippo Tang however are larger and need atleast 6ft of swimming space, especially the Hippo since they can be very fast. Might I suggest some of the rabbitfish, theres more than just plain jane Foxfaces.

As far as housing fish together, Copperbands(i've learned the hard way) need to be acclimated into a calmer tank setting. The pygmy angels should be fine together as long as they are added at the same time so nether has a chance for territory establishment. I've no experience with the Kole but from what I hear they seem to be a more peaceful surgeonfish. The only issue I see is that the two pygmy angels and tang would be food compettitors since the angels also graze on rocks just like tang. If you can provide enough grazing spots and supplimentary algae(either nori sheets or live macro like gracilaria) then you should be fine.

A Kole 8"+??? I've never heard of that. Every souce I've ever read has said they can get up to 7", but I think they generally stay closer to 5". Mine is a very cool and peaceful fish, I would highly recommend one.

Theyve got one at the aquarium near me thats definitely bigger than 6. Theyve also got a hippo thats probably 18" long, so some of these fish may be outliers.

ya.. but this is something i have seen.. and its not a fact.. its just my opinion.. but i think when you give fish a LARGER tank they grow bigger... but im not saying putting a fish in a small tank will dwarf it..im saying that fish in large tanks grow very big... for example.. i was at te aquarium the other day and i saw a pair of clowns that were HUGE.. at least 6" ... they were giant.. and they were in a lightly stocked 500g. (guestimate)...that tank also had an unussually large Cherub Angel (about the size of say... your adverage Flame Angel)...and some really big Bangaii Cardinal's .... thats JMO though.. anyway i have NEVER seen a Kole tang that was larger then 5.5"
