This was sold as a gig, the tentacles look short and bubbly, can anyone confirm?

It could be a gig. Seems like quite a few green gigs have characteristics of haddoni. The one I have is definitely a gig, but has shorter tentacles that are more spread out.

He look more like a Gigantea to me, but a column pictire will settle the question with no possibility of error

I really wanted one with long tenticles. If if is a gig, I hope it grows longer over time

That is a Haddoni.
Haddoni often have pale tan foot and there is no verrucae on the column, as oppose to Gigantea which often have pastel color foot (blue or green most of the time) with bright verrucae on the column.

just spoke to the LFS and they bought it as a gig and also believe it is a gig. saying that, they are being good at this and are happy to give me a refund. It's looking healthy but I'm going to keep hold of it for a week in QT and see how things pan out and i don't want to ship it again so soon.
problem is with these big monsters, space is a issue so i don't really want anything I don't 100% like to be taking up space in my tank. I'll post another pic up next week and minh, if you don't mind, just give me another opinion ?

Definitely haddoni. No verrucae and the column is definitely thicker. Glad you hear that the LFS is working with you.

Yeah they've been really good about it. Same place I bought my purple gig from earlier this year. Both arrived really healthy which is more than I can ask for considering how delicate these creatures are
