I don't have copepods, amphipods, etc. WHY?

You can also try artic pods. They're frozen but heard fish go nuts for them. From the same people who do tigger pods.

Okay...if you see pods on the wall of the tank. GOOD sign. Now it's time for that thing we call patience to kick in. Keep up the great work...and if you do decide to make any changes. Feed live brine shrimp until the pods mature. By the middle of October, 4-5 weeks...you'll see pods populating all over your tank (in the refugium...over the sand...on/in between rocks). FULL POPULATION!!! The worst that can happen, they get eaten by your fish...which has already begin. And lastly, study the behavior of your six-line. He may have already spotted their hide-out. Good Luck.

I agree with waterman. If you can see em anywhere... then there is a slew of them elsewhere hiding from you. Try my first suggestion... add the pile of rubble rock. Just go to the LFS and buy 5lbs or so... they might even give it away free (if you know em well enough). Pile up somewhere behind your rock work, and then wait a few weeks... ul have pods coming out ur...... ;D

can i pile them up in my refugium, and they'll make their way up to the main display? I don't have heaps of space, being that my main display is only 29 gallons.

Live brine? I don't have enough time to pay attention to hatching live brine. I'd rather just squirt a bottle of phyto into the tank. That should be fine, right?

Saipin...I meant purchase a portion of brine shrimp from your LFS to help feed while your tank pods culture inside your display.
It is possible to have live rock in your refugium. I started out with rocks in my refugium, but I then placed the same rocks inside the display. As long as you create a area either in the main display or refugium where they cannot easily be preyed upon. Best of luck.

:PODhunt101:

look @ night w/ a white LED... a flashlight will only glare ur tank... the LED shows them clearly.
