I don't think there will be offspring but...

my golden domino, about phone-sized and beefy, is digging a nest like crazy, (uses her tail), buzzing (they do, loudly enough to hear in another room: sounds like a tank pump is up against the glass), and the only POSSIBLE mate for Miss Titanic is a modest-sized three-stripe. They're both dascyllus, but I somehow think nature did not design these genes to cross. The little blue damsels are staying out of their way.

I'm quite fond of her. She's pretty well-mannered, shares the tank with other damsels no longer than her side fin, but when she gets ticked you can hear the commotion in all adjacent rooms. She's a pretty golden brown with a lot of black edges, scales, fins, etc. Best of all, she's coral-compatible.

I just can't feature what would happen if she and Mr. Stripes reproduce. A muddy mess, likely! But there's no likelihood of raising any fry: I'm not set up for it.

Even so, beautiful and uncommon fish. Obviously everyone is thriving. Congrats... crazy kids.

She just started growing...and growing...and growing. ;) It's hard to get her to pose, but by good fortune, the other tank inhabitants showed up for bit parts in the picture. I like corals---stony; and the one really good thing about damsels is that there's about one species that nips corals: the others don't bother them---except for two habits: sand-throwing (for anything on the ground) and the tendency to pick up a loose coral sitting near a 'doorway' to a cave and throw it. Mr. Stripes used to do this as a dominance demonstration when he and Ms. Titanic were settling issues, but if it's glued or puttied, and he can't budge it, no problem. They're a flock of characters, but the tank is constant movement of pretty colorful fishes.
