I fear Flatworms > confirm ID?

I came home with the lights off ( dark ) and saw 3 of these things in my tank. I think they are flatworms but I want to confirm them.

The center is hard and was suctioned cupped to the rock/glass
The outer "skirt" is paper like.

Thanks in advance

possibly stomatella, possibly nudi. If it has a saddle-like shell-plate and long antennae, stomatella, if otherwise nudi or even chiton. Doesn't look flatwormish to me as of these photos.

As been mentioned, they are scutus and are harmless *UNLESS* you have members of the pocilloporidae family (such as Pink Bird's nest).

I had to remove mine for that reason.

Those are Scutus, a type of limpet. They're harmless.

The top one in the first picture sure looks like a Stomatella. It seems like I can even see the shell on the outside. It does not look like the Limpet you are referring to.

The top one is the one that made me think Scutus more than any of the others. Scutus do have white shells but they shroud them with a black flap most of the time. Under stress you usually see them better.

The shell IS on the outside if you make them withdraw the mantle, just like cowries and marginellids and lots of other snails that have glossy shells. Scutus don't have internal shells like sea hares.

Cheers,

Don
