I feel like ranting

A couple of days back on another forumn someone emailed me they had a 14 gallon biocube and wanted $50 and two of my frags. The guys brings in over. I thought the tank was a little small looking for something that was supposed to be 14 but it figured it would like in my daughters room

I go to look in the tank and no pump. The guy gives me a story about the pump must be in a bag at home. So I find on in my garage that fits.

I wind up giving him 6 different frags instead of the 2 I had told him. As anyone that knows thats been here I will always kick in a few extra.

Later that evening I go to fill the tank and it only takes 6 gallons. I text him that this was not a 14 but a 6 no response. Well I figure hell it would still make a nice home for the clown. Come down stairs next morning and towel is soaked under the tank. I PM and leave a not so nice voice mail.

The guy calls be back and say no way could the tank be leaking as it was sitting in his closet for a year filled??? does not make sense as water evaporates. Said he did not realize it was not a 14. I tell him I want my money back and it he wants to keep all the frags I would take $25.

Comes over tonight and starts telling me there is no way the tank could be leaking even though all the silcone is loose on the back of the tank. I get my $50 back. When I say something about all the frags tells me he was going to bring them back but they would die in his car but did not want to pay for them. I basically told him to get out of here and to keep them.

Just felt like ranting for a few minutes.

Alteast Gregg the Picasso glow is still doing well in the 10 gallon

I was going to ask him if maybe when he carried the tank FULL of water to the closet maybe he damaged it. I am just happy I decided to fill the tank and run it prior to putting in my daughters room. My wife would have s#%t a brick if she found salt water all over her furniture

I think you should let us know who he is. So we don't get burned. A tank filled in a closet must be a new way to remove mold and mildew from clothing.

Im just glad that you got your money back dude... what a douche.. you should consider what Mark said to help potential members/victima here on fmas.

Mr Mark, welcome back lol. Where did you go this time?

Word of mouth brother, it's better than the most expensive ad made.

In the closet with water for a year... seems to me it should have evaporated... but that's just a wild guess ;)

i have a twenty gallon nano and it evaporates a good amount of water, multiple solo cups daily. i went venture to guess my lights prob add alot of help to that but there is no way that tank sat full for a year w/o evaporating.

did it have a lid!?!?

Dude!! That really sucks. Tell us who he is and we can go after him

BTW the frags I got from you are growing like crazy. Specially the Hollywood Stoner.

I have a 29 gallon bio cube I got used and a 14 gallon I got new. with my experience when it comes to biocubes it is best to buy new as there are so many mods that can be done to a biocube that you just don't know what has been done to the tank. Look for specials at petco online and other places as I got my sons 14 gallon for $150 with stand on sale at petco online. He loves his tank I just don't like that he wants a different fish every other month.
