Well as my subject states I finally got my new Tunze system set up and running.I took Rvitko's advice and went with the 2 6000's and the multi controller. The reason that I am unpleased is because these model 6000's dont nearly have enough power or flow for my tank. I wish I would have went with my orginal idea of getting the 6100's. Other then that I think it will be a great sytem once I can get the necessary flow out of them. Oh well, back to the drawing board :( If anyone is curious of what kind of setup I am running this on. It is a 190g acrylic. The dimensions are 67" long X 24" wide X 27" high. I have approx. 420#'s of live rock.

the tunze 6000 start to lose flow at 4 feet but if you have one in each corner, flow will collide and cause current. alot.

It is nothing to get upset about, I can sell you two transformers of 22v and you will have 6100 Streams. The price will be $5 more than if you bought the 6100 to start but I will eat the difference, just give me a call on Monday and I will arrange it. If you read the parts section you will clearly see the only difference is the transformers.

In rereading your post I can see where I went wrong, you have an extraordinary amount of rock. I don't have experience with every possible configuration, just the feedback from customers and my own personal experience. The broad flow of Stream pumps takes some getting used to and creates a different effect from a jet blast. It is the most natural flow known at this time. I also noticed I made a mistake the big transformer for the US is actually 19V as a 60hz waveform conveys more power than a 50Hz waveform- actual power is equal to the surface area of the wave so this is an adjustment for our power phase. The beauty of the electronic pumps is theyare highly adaptable and very forgiving, we can easily upgrade your pumps so just try what you have- I would suggest pulse mode with 3 second pulses between 100% and 50%, give it until at least monday, if you still aren't happy give me a call between 10-5Central 512-833-7546 and I will get you the transformers. I have jury duty Monday morning and may end up late for work. I am the only one at Tunze USA so leave a message and i will call you back. Be aware that you will be doubling the flow, the effect is rather dramatic, you can ask Eric Boernaman- I saw in one thread he referred to the 6100 as insane flow.

Thanks for the fast response Roger. Now that is what I call awesome customer service.:) I wish every company was like this. Makes me feel like the money I spent on Tunze products was a great investment;)

Thats why I work here! Axel Tunze is one of the only people in the industry who really sincerely cares to make it right and he really runs a very different business, we all try to make a living but we at Tunze believe it can be done with honesty and hard work and not trying to make a quick buck. As a hobbyist and LFS owner meeting Axel and Norbet Tunze stands out as one of the single greatest events in my life and I have been keeping fish for nearly 20years and have met alot of big names. Just keep me posted.

Hey roger, does that new icon mean that you're gonna start selling really expensive vacuums and ovens now? I liked the beavis and butthead one better....

Crumbs.....why can't we buy switcheable 12V/22V transformers with our Streams ? (I'm in Europe....)

That would allow fantastic flexibility !

Just a thought.

I would think cost as you would need a multi tap toroidal and these are not cheap trany as is.

second the customer service from Tunze first rate when you need to use it, but you dont need to use it often as the kit just keeps on running if looked after a little.

Great kit, great service, and honest replies, if Tunze does not fit your needs you get told so, so yes one company that does not try to just sell you the kit,

And i have no connection what so ever with Tunze or any related company, and been using tunze for a long time

:D

I love Miele, I bought one of their dishwasher 2 years ago and hope someday to have more of their appliances. Just felt inspired after visiting a Miele showroom in Germany. Another product that is absolutely worth every penny and I have to say I was ammused to learn the company is of the same size and general structure as Tunze and everything is made more or less the same way, the laundry machine actually uses the same alarm as a Tunze Turbelle Driver.
