I am a computer retard; let me just get that out there.
Apex is hard-wired using ethernet cable. I have a green and yellow light at the ethernet terminal on the Apex. Neptune helped me get an IP. My IP on the Apex is 10.0.0.3
I could (for an hour or two while testing) access my Apex by typing that IP address into the address bar.
Router is a Netgear WNR2000 Wireless N Router. Port 2 (Apex) is steady flashing. My modem is a Motorola and the "ethernet" and "activity" light a alternating flashing all the time.
My email/internet is with Bellsouth, who is now AT&T.
I have tried a dozen possible SMTP server and port combinations. I've been studying the unofficial guide for hours and I just give up. Ive tried the cmd function to send an email test and I get nothing.
I even tried to get a GMX email set up but somethign must be wrong on their end. It tells me I'm set-up, but gives me an error message when I try to log in.
HELP!
