Ok this is my first brain coral. It is almost flurescent green with dark purple centers. I know to keep in in mod to mod/low flow and lower light lower in the tank. Other than good water numbers is there anything else i need to know? Also does anyone know the exact name for this type? Thanks.

I have one very similar but it doesn't have the purple centers (mine are white). I believe it is a type of favia/"moon brain". Mine did well under med/low light and same on flow. Its retracted some recently but thats my own fault I think.

The tentacles were never very long on mine but when I put food in the tank the whole colony went crazy! :)

Yes, I think it is a favia. It likes being fed (put a plastic cover over it to keep fish and shrimp from stealing)

For now it is sitting by itself on a slightly raised flat rock ridge about 3 inches off of the sand. Like I mentioned I am just starting corals so it is isolated. The coral is about 5 iches long and 2 1/2 to 3 inches wide. Yes, at night it sends out sweepers about 2 hours after my lights go out (fun to look at with a flashlight), the longest sweeper I have seen is about 2 inches long at this point.

Well I think it can send some longer than that so care would be indicated.
