I got red bugs

HI
to anyone that got any corals from me please dip the coral
I didn't know and it was just pointed out to me the i got some red bugs in an area of my display tank
I broke off a piece of that coral and dipped it and unfortunately i saw a bunch of red bugs jumping out


I don't know where they came from or when I got them
but just to be safe dip the corals

on another note any one have any interceptor??????????????????/

Bummer i think the Pink Milli I got was from you. it was a small piece and i dipped it. i didn't see anything come off althought I didn't have my glasses on and the Bayer does cloud and foam the water a bit. I had red bug years ago and there's a red bug treatment that worked really well. I think the instructions say you use a canister filter to siphon them out as the die and float around as I think they are toxic once they die. i would also change the filter sock a few times after treating. I remember the product working really fast like a couple minutes and the red bugs were floating around the tank so have something to suck them out before you treat.

Bob it sounds to me as though you are describing red planaria versus red bugs.

Yah the treatment for red bug is interceptor

I order 3 dragon face pipe fish 2 for my display tank and 1 for the frag tank
they supposed to eat the red bugs
I'm going to dip as many corals as I can in Bayer
and if that don't work
I just purchase some Interceptor on line but that will be my last resort
