So like the title says, i have the zoa pox. I dont know much about zoa pox but i do know about a product called furan 2. I believe its used in the treatment but i think its for a dip treatment.
I have a couple questions about pox if anyone can answer them:
-Is there any in tank treatment methods for this? The reason i ask is because i have a lot of zoas and not just frags, large colonies on base rock, it would be extremely difficult to pull them out of the tank.
-If there isnt any in tank treatments, whats the best way for getting zoas off a rock? i have a large colony on a base rock which i cant pull out of the tank.
-How does it spread.. if one colony has it will they all eventually have it?
-Can i leave the unaffected colonies in the tank? or do i have to pull all zoas out?
-if i have to take them all out, i have a 3 gallon pico tank. will that be a good qt tank? it has only an 18 wtt pc light on it... its been set up for over a year though
-this is a very stupid question, but do pallys get effected by zoa pox, and how do you tell the difference between pally and zoa, do they have longer shafts?
In addition to the pox, i believe i have a possible fungus thats been eating away at some pallys/zoas for the past month. it looks like agle and the zoas/pallys close up and eventually melt away, there is a picture below of that. Any treatments for this?
