I hate my RBTA

He's on the move again. Currently passing over a nice zoa colony, headed towards a tri-color that has finally started looking good. I guess he's going to sting everyone in it's path. And where he is I'll never be able to get him isolated on a rock. can't he just sit still like the GBTA?

I fell out of live with Nems a long time ago. They don't play nice. My clowns host euphyllia and non-reefers don't know the difference. That's good enough for me.

My RBTA only moves when it's about to split. It runs over corals but never hurts them at all. They get upset for a few days and then are back to normal. After the RBTA splits, it goes back, close to where it started.

Definite crowd pleaser. But useless, for everything other than the crab that lives on him. Now, he's as cool as anything I've ever had in my tank, almost makes it worth having a nem. The clowns don't host him or the GBTA. Just spreads out wide, walks over other corals, and generally stresses me out. Maybe he is walking to split, I've never seen it do that yet in the past 4 months. Hopefully I'll be able to isolate one or two or all of them and give them up for adoption.
Good news is that he's past over a zoa colony and they are alive and out. No damage at all. Headed towards a hairy neon green mushroom he can take out if he wants since it grows rampant in my tank.

He's still running. Hasn't caused any destruction yet. He did push an unglued colony out of the way- they'll be fine in their new home. I think he just wanted more light, he's gone from the middle of the tank to the very highest point on my rocks. Maybe he'll be more visible and enticing to my clowns.

I have an rbta( entmacea quadriolr) ;it hosts two tomato clowns. It hasn't moved in over 6 yrs. Orignially it climbed around a bit and settled . Surrounding it with corals it doesn't like to mess with helps; I think. Mine is bracketed by a large poropaly grandis colony , a nephtea and some other palys. Splitters head to the back glass. It hasn't split in a couple of years. Goos luck with it.

Thanks for all of the insight. He's stopped roaming- for now. No real damage, just an upset acan that I'm sure will bounce back. Clowns still haven't payed attention to all of the commotion. I guess they'll just keep hosting the powerhead.

I have a pair of occelaris. Definite male and female. They're not real smart. I've tried the picture and video thing. Didn't take. They're happy and fat and like dancing in their corner. And the male likes to bite when I'm moving things around. I don't really mind that they don't host. They add a ton of personality.

Well, I do have a male and a female. If they host- great. If not- oh well. Same goes for breeding. They were a rescue from a tank owned by a guy that should not have tried saltwater. Steered in the wrong direction by Petco. He placed an add trying to give away a pair of pj cardinals. when all was said and done I left his house with the cardinals, the clowns, a couple of damsels (who now reside in my sump) and the tank itself. As dumb as they are, I'd say I saved them from a horrible life. They've all been happy for over a year.
