so like i just got a cleaning crew right.. okay so i have 2 turbo snails and one got ontop of the other one.. after a moment one started releasing some light white stuff. is that normal?

Its poop. You'll see the snails do that even on glass, rocks wherever....So Im guessing it just waste coming out from their system.

But if it did it on top of another snail, thats just funny, how often do you see someone **** on someone else...LOL

hey thanks guys! i just got my nano.. i'm hooked! i just got a little scared i thought it wasn't a good thing like it was dying or something. so wheather is a naughty thing or just poop.. i guess i don't have to worry right?

thanks

Nah, you dont have to worry. If the stuff is solid (not liquid) and pellet-like, then yeah, its turbo-doody.

How big is your nano? Show us some pics!

Probably the snail was spawning due to stress from being moved. This is not unusual, and the presence of the other snail was coincidental -- they are broadcast spawners, so there's no need for mommy and daddy snails to ever even see each other.

Be sure to acclimate snails very, very slowly. Poor acclimation can induce stress-related spawnings and can even kill them days after the fact.

humm.. i see. i don't know much i just got my nano is 12g to start off then as soon as we move we are getting a bigger one.

Snails look tough, but like other inverts they are very sensitive to changes in salinity and water quality. Your snails may be fine, but if you see them drop dead in a few days...

How do you tell a dead snail? Use your nose. Sniff cautiously; dead snail is unbelievably rank!

Carnivorous cleanup crews will know before you do. My shrimp/nassarius/etc clean out the shells before I even realize they died. No time to give it a sniff-test but I guess thats a good thing.
