I just got Giant Clams by Daniel Knop yesterday in the mail. So far I am pretty impressed with the content...though it can be tough reading in spots due to much being "lost in translation"...you'd think they could have found some better translators for the book. I thought I read someone was in the process of writing another clam book. Does anyone know of a more up-to-date book in the works???

I know James Fatherree and he has been working on this new book for about a year now and hopefully it will be out this year. Hint, Hint ;)

Have previewed some of the chapters and this will be a great reference book for your library.

He also wrote most of the articles in Coral volume one #3 that is all about Tridacna clams.....Well worth picking up if you cant find the book.

Book is just about done...

Book is just about done...

Yep, I've been working on a comprehensive tridacnid book for about a year and it is finally finished - sort of.

The text and photos are done, but it's a heck of a lot of work getting everything formatted and "press ready". I hope to have that wrapped up in the next few weeks, and then it'll be about 90-120 days to print it.

It seems like every time I think I'll have time to get it truly finished - life gets in the way though. Just started a new job, just bought a new house, etc...

It's coming though.
