between ORA and wild caught? I don't think you really can. You can look for large stocks of clowns, if there are a large group of smaller guys, best bet is they came from a breeder (like ORA).....and some of the mis-striped guys will get into those batches...as I am sure is what happened in this case.
Actually most of the times you can tell by just the bodyshape/structure. ORA gets the picasso markings by inbreeding and a lot of clowns will get deformities(even if minimal) like crooked jaws, flared gills, and ive noticed that the head structures are not at pointy as the wild caught counter parts which will 99% of the time have perfect bodies.
You can tell Percs and Occ by their dorsal fin count. Percs have 10. Occ have 11
