HI!
I have a 120 gallon mixed reef that's gaining loads of SPS and I want some more fish. Here's My current stock..
3-4" yellow tang
2 ocellaris clowns-still small, 1 black, 1 white
2 bangaiis
Yellow coris wrasse
Dusky jaw
Solon fairy wrasse
4 bluegreen chromis.
I would like a few other interesting fish...thought of hawkfish, but afraid of it killing inverts...I I love wrasses and tangs and my LFS has a yellow tail tamarin, but he doesn't know if its still alive since it hasn't surfaced:(. All suggestions are welcome.

muchas Gracias

dont tout the 3 yellows in one tank too much or you will get the tang police on your case. fairy tail wrasses are very nice.

There are a few nice dwarf angelfish to pick from. And in a 120g I'd only do 1 as sometimes they don't do well together. I only keep 1 coral beauty in my 180 and 1 flame angel in my 70g nem tank.

I've thought of a flame, but a buddy of mine has one who has dessert on his LPS, and Ive heard they're nippers. I really didn't get the vibe off that I wanted another tang, cause I really like small fish, so I can get more in my tank. I was thinking of getting that tamarin I told you about, a m.bipartus leopard wrasse, maybe another fairy wrasse, and a mandarin as the tanks older...is that too much.

Yellow tail tamarins are hard to keep, well I should say getting one to eat. I have one in my 120, no clue what it eats as it picks at the rocks all day. I didn't QT the fish because I was afraid it wouldn't have enough rock in the QT. I also really like the flasher and fairy wrasses.

Group of anthias, yellow eye kole tang?

Do you have 3 yellow tangs or a single 3 to 4" yellow?

A single 3-4" tang. NOT 3. I have a sense to not overstock that heavily....with that being said, what fish could I add?
I have looked at anthias, and I like kole tangs, but I don't want him to get too big.

Convict tangs really should have 6ft long tanks, and I personally wouldn't have two tangs in a 120. If you can, stick with smaller fish so the tank looks a bit bigger.

A pair of trio of royal grammas or assessors would be interesting in your tank. They swim in all sorts of directions. IMO, blue or purple fish will get your yellow tang and yellow coris wrasse to contrast more, thus stand out in the tank.

Get the flame hawk. Mine doesn't nip. He's a complete weirdo... very cool to watch. So long as you don't have ridiculously small ornamental shrimp i think you're safe with him... I have mine with 2 skunk cleaner shrimp and lots of small hermits... he hasn't touched anyone. Will he eat brine/mysis shrimp, yes... will he eat a skunk or fire shrimp? Only if it'll fit in his mouth. He's not any more unsafe around inverts than a tang.

Ok. I'll put that in mind....I have snails...are they lunch for them?
Could I get a couple more fairy wrasse and a tamarin, and then either a mandarin or pipefish for the rest of my stock?

You have a couple lf fish that are big competitors for pods to get a mandarin or pipefish IMO. I'm not sure about the pipefish, but mandarins are not the quickest to get to the food. The yellow coris wrasse and a tamarin eat lots of pods. Keep in mind that a single mandarin needs about 2000 pods a day or more.
