it seems the wall we have it in is a new home to termites,we have a guy coming out tomorrow to take a look, but i know he cant treat the wall with the tank in it,we will see what he says, wish me luck,

Termidor will get rid of them without tearing the wall out. It is a liquid bait that takes out the entire colony. They will probably take out a section of sheet rock, though.

so it wouldnt get in the water?

They wouldn't need to treat over the tank. Termites are continually traveling down the wall into their mud tubes to take food back to the nest. You would only need bait below the tank, but I would put plastic over the tank and sump during treatment.

Oh, THAT sux!

A termite contract is just an Insurance policy. 1 in 30 Homes will get Termintes. Its a numbers game.

...And Termites don't read the Fine print.

Trust me.

I seriously doubt that your tank will be effected by this. There is a poisonious foam type thing that they inject into the tunnels in the wood that takes out the colony. Unless the whole wall is infested, you should be OK.

Teena, give me a call, I was in the Pest control Industry for 15 years, and there are some things that it will help you to know going into this.

They can take care of this without it affecting your tank, just make sure that you know your rights and what you expect from the company, especially if you are under a contract.

I actually left the industry as a whole strictly because I saw it turn into an industry that had turned into a largely unregulated racquet in this area!! Do not get me wrong, all companies are not dishonest there are some good ones I just no longer chose to be a part of it.

Sent you a PM

....Nope. Barrett's wrong.

Better give me that Big Toadstool now to look after before something happens to it.

You can always come over and visit it, if you'd like.
