i need advice and help on placing powerheads

i trying to get good circulation in my 125g so i don't get dead spot in sand or build up of slime algae behind live rock were circulation is bad right now i have a rio 1400 400gph in upper left back corner and in front upper right corner i have a aquaclear 110 which is 900gph. So i would like to use only 2 powerheads but would like to know how strong of powerheads and the best positions to place them in a 125g 72"X18"X22". water parameter are in specs. except phosphates been a little high and tank has been running since july 2006 seems like water circulation is bad i lower area's of tank and i have read the bad circulation can cause left over food to build up in some areas causing algae breakout and cause dead spots. So do i need new stronger power heads or just place them in different spots.

going to go with seio powerheads but which model would be good to go with for 2 of them in 125g

If you plan on going with SEIO's go with 2500's, but first I would suggest going with two Mod'ed Maxi-Jets 1200 first. Smaller, half the price and almost the same flow.

As far as placement that is hit and miss with every tank. I would put them on each end facing each other,and see how that works.

I have 1500's on my 180 and the flow barely hits the other side.

I'm getting ready to add the Maxi-jet mod that is suppose to push 2000 gph.
