Any cool hanging bars or brackets out there? I was thinking I need to hang one radion oner a 60g cube and was thinking of 1" tube from the back of stand and making a 90deg. bend to hold the light on. maybe welding that tube to a sliding drawerglide to move up for maintence of tank? any ideas out there:idea:??

My 5' LED fixture is suspended from the ceiling on stainless steel cables with a counterweight so a touch from a finger raises the light up and out of the way.

I welded angle iron, made L brackets and ran a 4 ft piece of flat stock across painted black and hung my light from that looks really good.

Are you a sailor?

West Marine is a great place for blocks to hang heavy objects.

WOW, thanks nick. that was just a great build thread, lots of pics and info on how he did everything. I still dont know how i want it to look, trolling for ideas.

Yeah that is one of my favorite build threads I have looked at! Let me know what you come up with for the light bar

I saw a thread called dougans build. I don't have a link atm.
In it the guy used a 2" x 3/8" aluminum flat bar and some 1" x 1/4" aluminum flat bar to make a radion hanger.
I used the same materials, but did mine a little different.
This is over my 30" x 20" x 20" LPS/SPS tank.
The light is 8" from the water.
