I need info on corallimorph!

I have a bunch of what I think is white ball corallimorph in my new pico tank. They came on my live rock and are currently the only things in there. They're all small, about half a centimetre or less during the day, and a little bit bigger at night. there are at least 6 growing on the rock. They are in my 2.5 gallon pico. I was hoping to keep a clown goby in there, but I hear coralimorphs eat fish. Will clown goby be ok with them if I just pull out the nems that get bigger? Also, does anyone know if they can eat inverts too or is it just fish that are at risk? Can I keep mushrooms in tjis tank or will the white ball nems hurt them. I've never had these before so I need all the info I can get on them! Thanks!

P.S. check out my thread:

Update on the nems:
I fed them some thawed frozen bloodworms today. With one of them I used a pair of tweezers and held the worm on top of it. when i wiggled the worm a tiny bit i could tell the tentacles were sticking, but they were stuck very gently and fel off of their prey rather easily. If I dropped the worm just a bit too high up the current would blow it away and the anemone made no effort to grab it or anything.
I notice that the one on top of the rock by the light stays completely curled up, I can't see itshead or tentacles at all. The ones at a mid water placement stay open but the tentacles just look like spherical buds. The one that is most lively looking lives in the dark pit of a cave, and keeps its tentacles fully extended at about 3 milimeteres long(keep in mind the heads are only 3 milimetres wide) so it is about tripled in circumfrence from the shut ones.
I have not observed any movement. they do not pulse or sway or do much of anything besides close up when provoked.
Do the above behaviors soud typical of white ball anemones? I honestly can't see one of these guys being able to catch a squirmy fish when they can't even get a dead worm with a gentle current...but i dunno!
please help me out because I am confused about these guys and I need to know if I should worry about them hurting my potential livestock.
Thanks a ton!

I have personally never seen them hurt anything, and I have several. To get a proper ID, you should post a picture of the open one. If they are what I think, they never get as big as the anemones that are able to catch fish, they stay under an inch their whole life.

I'm thinking maybe pseudocorynactis. If so, they are benign hitchhikers, and prefer more cryptic, out of the light areas, and are more prevalent after lights out. IME, not a problem for any fish or corals.

Ok, thanks! I think we are talking about the same thing, white ball corallimorph is just another name if I'm correct. I really don't see how they could catch a fish so I'm glad you guys have had a positive experience.
I've tried to get a picture of them fully open but for some reason my camera wil only focus on them when they're more closed. It's the strangest thing!
Do you guys think they'll get along ok with mushrooms?
Thanks!!!

I have several in my tanks, and they haven't bothered anything I have, including Blue Stripe pipefish and clown gobies. :-) You should be fine.

someone said they saw one that ate everythig from hermit crabs to other corals and nems? maybe they were confused on the species...
good to know they haven't hurt anything for you guys!

ok, I trust you, but besides the fact that mine are tiny and those are apparentley big, isn't mine the same thing?
but then again, I guess if mine were babies they would not be reproducing yet?
Thanks!

Sorry for bringing up a dead thread i've been reading around about the "ball anemone" cause last night the bastard ate my clown fish:(:(:(:(

sorry:(
Your's must be some bigger variety of "ball anemone" maybe a different under scientific name. Mine are all very small @like 1 inch max size. the only thing they don't get along wiht is my nassarius snail who FREAKS out every time his snorkel touches one;)
spazzy lil snail
I've never heard of an anemone eating a clownfish though! I thought they were supposed to get along!!!
