I am setting up my new 125 with overflows and I need some advice on the best skimmer for the money. I will probably do the same thing I have now, mixed reef with some fish. I am working on a sump now and am needing a skimmer that will work for me with the least amount of input from me.... Please let me know what to expect to pay as well? Thanks in advance!

I replaced a redsea with a G2 from ASM. I think I paid 238 shipping and everything. I would have got the G3 but it wouldn't fit. I like that it's in the sump, leaking isn't a problem. You basically plug it in and you're done. You have to adjust the output tube to your application but its easy. It's very simple not much to go wrong. It's also ozone safe. Good luck!!

BTW, the key to the efficiency of the GSM is the pump. Make sure you run it with a needlewheel or it will probably not perform as great.
