I need to save my Tomini Tang!

Alright so i had just recently added a Tomini Tang to my REEF. He is showing a few areas of medium-light ich invasion. Would dosing prazipro be effective at this stage? I cannot catch him so i cannot put in QT. HE just stated settling in to my tank and if i hold still will swim up to the front of the glass...but if i move my head, game over. I have seen him eat a few pellets and brine shrimp off the ground in the back corner but that's about it.

Hey, prazipro is not effective against ich. It's used for flukes and worms. The ich is now in your system and it's gonna get worst. Qt and treatment with cupramine, hypo or tank transfer method are the best and effective way to eradicate it.

Read the stickies on Ich, Ich treatment, Tank Transfer, etc.

There's also one on how to catch an uncatchable fish. :)

Good luck.

Good info on the posts above. Using a QT BEFORE he went into the DT would have been a good idea, huh? As long as you have your fish out for treatment, it might be a good idea to re-home the tang. A 40 gal tank is too small for any tang; they don't do well at all in small tanks.
