I was supposed to get a 4" Rose nem with purple oral disk but the one I got is about 2 1/2 inches and is green under the tips...
its been aclimated and in the tank about an hour.Maybe it will change :sad2:

It's not fully open yet, wait at least a day. It take them awhile to fully expand. Don't know about the tips though. If you didn't see colored tips with the divers den pics, you should probably give divers den a call. they usually are pretty good with customer service.

That's definitely a RBTA.. maybe it gets much bigger when expanded. LA may have miscalculated the size of the guy when fully expanded.

90% of your anemone is water and it can draw in and expell it pretty much at will (some obvious exceptions like when out of water etc)...however I would assume that once it is not stressed it will re expand to the size that it is supposed to be, or possibly even bigger. (Again, it might stay smaller in your tank...these things adjust to your tank and then stay how they feel comfortable).

If the colors are off, I would call them...they will be sure to fix this asap. Best customer service in the business.

Colors can change under different lighting scenarios.
+1...
LA's DD website states the following:
This anemone prefers to attach to a flat surface, and is maintained under 250-Watt Aqualine Buschke HQI double ended metal halide bulbs that are suspended 18" above the water surface in a raceway that is 16" deep.
once that changes, which is more than likely the case, so does the visual appearance of the nem...it is also going to take some time to acclimate itself (and it's color) to your system/lighting set up. It may take weeks for it to do so and you may very well love the look of it as time progresses...

as for the size, like already stated here, this nem is no where near fully opened and therefore your measurements are not an accurate judgement of receiving the wrong sized nem...

IMO it looks like a beautiful nem and I think, in time, so will you :)

While this is an S. Haddoni, it still goes to show how much the size can change -- even in the matter of seconds. It is way to soon to say that yours isn't the size you ordered.

Closed up (( I had ticked it off during a water change ))

Well I hope you guys are right. As long as the size is right the color isnt that impotant. The size matters because my maroon clown is laying in it constantly since it went in the tank and hes about 2 1/2 long.I dont want him to kill it.Heres an updatedpic. It bigger now.

Even at 4-5 inches, it is too small (( IMO/E )) for a maroon. You might have to separate them until the anemone at least settles in, and perhaps until it is larger.

If it is..or isnt the RBTA you ordered, either way it is one fine looking BTA :) i really like it. and like todd said, you should seperate the nem/clown atleast until the nem has settled in a little bit..

Mine does the same, many times disappears under the sand completely only to come out a few hours later fully open.

Maybe give your rbta nem a few days to plump up and get used to the lighting if you don't care about the color. I agree those colors are great! But if its not what you wanted then thats up to you. Send them an email about the discrepency soon which would give you a day or two to see if it plumps up further.

it deffinetly looks like a rose to me, they can have all sorts of colors, as a matter of fact, i would have preferred if my rose looked like yours does
