I think I have a sick clam

I just took a clam out of a seahorse tank that had inadequate lighting...long story, dont ask...anyway, i put it in my 37g and it looks as if its gaping. Is there anything I can do to help the clam survive...its only about 2 inches.

the tank the clam is in now is a 37g eclipse with a retro 65watts pc lighting. i put the clam on the top with my 2 maximas so that it gets more intense lighting.

i do use idoine and moly, but after reading the post about dosing these, i am definately not doing that anymore. (i only added it weekly/biweekly.)

no shrimps are picking on it...although i do have a cleaner shrimp - doesnt seem to bother my other 2 maximas.

yup... you're gonna need MH. I've tried the PC and VHO thing... It doesnt work for me. Clams lost coloration over a two week period. Not enough light for them even though they were at the top. 3 inches from the light.

If it's a crocea, the gaping incurrent is normally larger then the other clams. So I wouldnt worry about that.
