I think I'm done dealing with the LFS

You are all living my dream Here in switzerland there are like 10 LFS in the whole country! And when I go to an LFS all they have are standard fishes like yellow tangs and that stuff. No wrasses, no angels.. U have to be lucky when u see a imperator or something in store. There are no online shops here. All you can do is pass your order to your LFS and hope they can get the fishes you want. Can you feel my pain now?

I guess I am lucky. I have 2 good LFS' just down the street with a 3rd that just opened up this past week right near those two. The first is 1.8 miles away, the second is about half a mile down the street from that one and just past SpectraPure. The third is less than 1/4 mile from the 2nd one. Takes me about 5-6 minutes to get to any of the 3. Then there are several others around the valley to choose from as well.

Wow that's crazy hopefully it gets better.

I think living in Southern California we are soiled since majority of US wholesaler are 5 minutes from each other some are hundred feet away specially on 104 street.

So fish or corals sometimes sold way below wholesaler since we have a lot of them. given away for free livestock are common.

Actually getting a cities permit is easy enough, it just costs a fair bit. Call fish and wildlife

yes it is possible, but it is not easy. nor worth it to bring in a $50 frag ...

but I have on occasions brought them in coming back from US in water bottels ..

Chris at Aquatic arts is great! Also try Elite Reef I got Kuiteri wrasse from them at good price and they will special order for you. Owner is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Can't remember her name at the moment.
