Actually Ryan, sorry to bust your balls buddy, but as far as cloudy days go, leave your lights off for a whole day, and then let them go like normal the next day and see how your corals look. I used to do this once every few weeks after I accidentally screwed up my timer. As far as rain and moon cycles go, Im not sure how important rain in the sea is, but for freshwater and tropical fish heavy rains are a signal that cause the fish to spawn. The moon cycle is very important to corals and fish as far as spawning goes. On the other hand, however, having a coral spawn in your tank really isnt good. It signifies that you have great water quality and whatnot, but it can harm your other animals, being that its in such an enclosed space. My understanding is however, that corals do enjoy Springer, especially LPS.
