I think I'm gonna cry :(

Actually Ryan, sorry to bust your balls buddy, but as far as cloudy days go, leave your lights off for a whole day, and then let them go like normal the next day and see how your corals look. I used to do this once every few weeks after I accidentally screwed up my timer. As far as rain and moon cycles go, Im not sure how important rain in the sea is, but for freshwater and tropical fish heavy rains are a signal that cause the fish to spawn. The moon cycle is very important to corals and fish as far as spawning goes. On the other hand, however, having a coral spawn in your tank really isnt good. It signifies that you have great water quality and whatnot, but it can harm your other animals, being that its in such an enclosed space. My understanding is however, that corals do enjoy Springer, especially LPS.

Oh, best of luck with that franch maid.

And I talked to the guy some more
he came down to 100$ for both acros
and 130 for both lobos

Oh by the way I may need a new sump, but Im going to have to build it inside of my stand because nothing of decent size will fit through the doors and I dont want to drain my tank to put a new one in. I may just drain it enough to move the tank off of the stand when I get the stuff from this guy in a few weeks and save myself the trouble. But if I dont go that route if you want we can split a sheet of acrylic and build our own.

yea I'd def be interested in the acros.... I'm in for the blue one for sure. dont' let it get away. The only problem is if your getting them in a few weeks I may need someone to house it for me till i get in from florida. I'm leaving for around 2 weeks later this month. Or i could just have someone pick it up at your place and drop it in my tank.

I dunno if hes selling them seperate, he wants to get rid of everything so hes selling the acros together and the lobos together. Ill ask if he will sell them seperatley.
It would be no big deal for me to just keep them in my tank until you get back from florida.

O i c. I thought you were buying his entire setup and then selling what you didn't need to help save some expense. In that case I'll try and scrape up some more money.... I really gotta start limiting myself since I don't currently have a job and the car payments keep coming

P.S. Maybe we should start a new thread this ones getting pretty long

No, I cant buy his whole setup, cause I dont have room for most of the stuff, I just want liverock, some corals, and some fish. I think hes considering giving the tank and other stuff to a friend of his now anyways.

No word whatsoever. I told you not to get your hopes up. Besides, I thought you were broke and not spending...

I dunno, he says his friend is looking for a bigger tank so he may give him the tank, stand and hood, and try to sell the rest. If I have enough money and he is willing to sell it all, I will just buy the whole thing, but I dunno.

well i guess i do need to take a break from spending. I still need to save for when i move to florida in 4 months. I want to do a good setup when i get there, RODI, autotopoff, refugium, the works... so I'm going to need the money then anyways I guess. But still if you do get a deal, I'll def buy the blue acro as I have my eye on that one...

As for the 500 gallon tank, I couldn't afford to run something that big anyways, I was just dreaming it was going to be dirt cheap and a deal not able to be passed by. Thanks for thinking of me and if anything comes up i'm sure you'll let me know.

Back to searching for a replacement tank in South Florida....

Dirt cheap was supposed to be the price. All but free but the guy is kinda being a butthair so we're gonna jsut tell him to put-up or shut-up and see where that gets us.

This is Youngstown, I have a difficult time believing that no one is willing to rough him up a little. If you want Ill go get the tank from him, and his car....... and wife...

We live in cow country Southington, Bristolville... Them knuckle draggin' wannabees don't want to play the rough game with country boys.... ! Every heard of a long distance country dedication? LOL

Cow country not Mississippi... sheesh! We don't play the banjo, we rogk Heavy Metal!!!! and Shoot twice! LOL

Well as far as I can see, there is no actual MY-SEA, so we can talk about anything here. And banjos do creep me out.

If you want to talk about reef related things only would anyone like to debate about chromopigments and how they are affected by zooxanthellae?
