i fed my RBTA, as usual, yesterday a silverside. it was a larger 1, seemed like it took it longer to get to mouth. the silverside was about 1/2-1" inside RBTA mouth. i then saw the maroon bite the silverside like she was annoyed and ripped it out. it looked like it didn't come out easy and mouth of RBTA looked not normal. not gaping but puffed up, kinda inside/out. just not normal. later in the day the RBTA seemed normal and i planned on feeding today. a couple hours ago my lights came on and i noticed hairlike slimy things flowing through water. looked all over and didn't notice anything unusual. didn't know what it was though. then i glanced at RBTA and it's mouthwas like yesterday but open real big, it's tentacles were the size of spaghetti and they were super short. the rest of it just didn't look normal too, and i saw those slimyhair like things floating around it and on LR next to it. this wasn't it deflating. i've seen it deflating many times and this was different. when it would dflate it would hang down and u couldn't even see mouth. i then noticed tank looked slightly cloudy and a few sps polyps were not extended as much. it made me sick but i knew it was dying or dead. i removed it and rock it was attatched to and placed in tupperware w/ tank water. after an hour it looked the same w/ more white puffy stuff around mouth. i placed in ziplock and tossed. i'm super pis#ed. this RBTA was beautiful. it trippled it's size in about 2 months, and was main attraction of tank. never stung any sps it touched. i believe the clown ripping the silverside out had something to do with it. now the clown is also acting really depressed. i'm disgusted.:mad2:
