The get started for the new Apex shows how to connect to the new Apex via Wifi to set the Apex up on the network. You can do the same via a wired connection. Those instructions apply to any network connected device whether it's a computer, smart phone or tablet like the fire. It's pretty simple. Just plug the Apex in to your local network. Once it's plugged into your local network or once the Apex is connected to your local network via an Ethernet cable, type: apex.local in the address bar of your Fires Silk Browser. That will get you to the base units embedded web interface.
