Iceemn's 125 reef tank PHOTO intense

Here are some vids of my tank
its crummy quality from my macbook webcam and for some reason all of the fish are so photogenic that they decided to swarm the camera

Since I can never seem to get a good photo of both my psychedelic mandarins in the same shot here is a vid

come ccb feeding photos. it likes to eat live worms from a net> net keeps the worms from floating around and restricts other fish from eating them before teh copperband does. the ccb actually has the perfect mouth to suck worms right out of the net

Since so many people dont have a front plate I decided to join the trend for a while to see how I like it. holes from the plate are still there but I might just buy a new grill. i've beenthinking about chome handles or chome mirror covers. what do you think?

How you feed the CBB is pretty neat. Thanks for sharing that method.

In Texas, we have to have a front license plate legally. So that isn't an option, unless you want it sitting on the dashboard.

Hey Tim,

Sorry i didn't see your message earlier. Funny recognizing you in genetics like that but too bad it was the last day.

Do you use Scripps water? I've been using it since I setup my tank this summer and no complaints so far.

Oh, one more thing. How do you post larger images which show up on the thread from flickr?!

Actually that's the law in California too but lots of people do it.

Hey dave

above your photos on flickr there should be a + sign with all images. click on it and it will give you the option of viewing your image in different sizes. I just copy the image address of the large images.

Oh and savethereef. its a pentax K10d. I used the kit lens for these and it performed unusually well (at iso 100) otherwise the lens has lots of noise even at moderate iso> 400

finally the lic plate thing is illegal in california. but many many socal ppl do it so I dont really feel too bad.

IF CA requires two plates, you open yourself up to being stopped and cited for not displaying two state license plates.

Yes, its a "cheesy" stop. However, I and several other officers I work with have made good arrests from stops based solely on "Failure to Display Two State License Plates". By "good" I mean I've locked up several felons with warrants for other felonies, convicted sex offenders, and pulled a fair amount of drugs out of cars. One buddy of mine made an arrest of a convicted drug dealer who had warrants and was also in possession of a stolen firearm.

So go ahead and do what you want to do...but dont be surprised if you get pulled over more often...

Nick

thanks nick for the advice.

its a small risk im willing to take for the mean time. fortuantely I dont do any of the things that you mentioned and I havent even gotten a speeding ticket since I started driving 5 years ago. so if i do get stopped for a fix it ticket thats fine with me.
