ich and main tank????

But that just showcases the purpose of a place like Reef Central. This is the place where new aquarists can go to learn good SW husbandry practice so that they can benefit from other's experiences (failures) and not make the same disasterous mistakes.
Wouldn't you agree?

Yep, I agree. Its just that most will tell you they don't have ick in thier tank. This I disagree with. Thus the water change and healthy diet iniative I promote. Its a more realistic program.

concentrate on corals, when all the fish die ,wait a few months, then add fish thru strict quarentine routine very slowly.

Ick is in yours and everybody else tanks. Fish become vulnerable when water parameters stress them. You want to find out what was it that got out of whack. Water test. But whatever the problem was you should be able to remedy it with a 25% water change, and then weekly water changes for the next 4-5 weeks.
Also you have to keep them eating. Nows the time to give them what they want. Good food will give them the strength to fight it off. IMO people stress fish to death trying to remove rock work chase a weak fish around a tank them put them in a smaller aquarium (quarenteen tank). Then they sit around scratching their head wondering why this didn't work. Ugh
Good water! Good food! Easy as that.

+1 nice post

+1 people that think there tank is free of ick is mistaken. you can QT everything and dip everything and guess what its still there and your fish can and will still get it.
