I'm in hypo, fish all eating well. 5 days in and the end is not yet in sight! Doing my research on all the forums and still, I have yet to find a conclusive way to determine ich from velvet. Anyways here's some pics of my emporer let me know what you think. I guess either way I'll find out soon seeing how crypto's life cycle works and while in hypo all cysts should fall of to lay its eggs an dies in the 1.009 sg levels so it cannot complete its life cycle.. "œright?" But hypo has no effects on velvet so 2-3 more days I figure all white spots should b off my fish..

If it’s velvet, the fish should die quite fast, like with days. Velvet needs to be treated fast. Is it swimming against current and not eating?

Yes this looks like velvet. You are correct hypo will not treat velvet it’s possible it will buy you some time by controlling it you can do a acriflavin dip and start bring up sg then dose cp. cap would be the preferred treatment because angels sensitivity to copper however when cu is raised slowly over 5 days it will help with sensitive fish if you choose this treatment you will probably have to give the fish daily acriflavin baths to buy time until cu reaches therapeutic levels.
