Actually, I liked Bettas as well. From Bettas I went to Gouramis then to angels. I tried discus but could never get it to work.

I've bred angels & discus, but have never had a betta live for more than 2-3 years. :sad2:

I disagree, a good rinse and some vinegar will remove any trace of copper. Copper does not bind with plastic, glass, or silicon.

True. This is an old myth that just won't die, probably goes back to a time with steel rimmed tanks and a different adhesive. I've used Cupramine on 100+ fish in the same 55 gal QT. Agreed, I currently QT corals in a tank that has been used with copper on and off for most of the last 15 years. No problems if the tank is cleaned as outlined above.

I could also never get them to breed. I think all the females I had were homely.
