I noticed two days ago that my clownfish had a white dot above the mouth. Now it has two more, another by the mouth and one by the gill.
first, how can I be sure that its ich (he always flops around in the sand)
also, how big of a quarantine should I get?

Just an update, he now has the one i saw on his mouth a few days ago, but nothing else. Maybe the others were sand?

If you can get a picture, that would be immensely helpful. Otherwise, you may want to do a Google search for marine ich. It's usually pretty obvious once you've seen it. Also, what type of clownfish are we talking about, and expand upon "flops around in the sand". Does it look like the clownfish is moving the sand with his tail (Maroon clownfish will often do this), or does it look like it's rubbing its body in the sand, which could be a sign of a parasite.

Its a false per. And with a picture it would be impossible to see the dot. Also, he flops around in the sand (but its been doing this since october, people have said not to worry a about it)
Also, I know what ich looks like, I've had fish get it before, but my clown only has one, so I'm not sure if it is ich.
