ICK in the reef

OK so I was bad and did not properly quarantine, and now I am paying the price. I know an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure, but I screwed up.

Can someone please advise as to the safest method to address ICK once it in in a reef tank.

Remove the fish to QT to treat. Do a fresh water dip on the way.

Keep them out of the main tank for at least a month to be sure that the ick in the main tank has all died.

The culprit was alive but stuck to one of my powerheads this morning, so I netted it and flushed it. The fish was rapidly crashing, so rather than have it cause more problems I cut my losses. I have kept FW fish for 20+ years, and just felt this one was not going to bounce back.
