ick?

I got a yellow tang, looked great in the store. Did not QT. That was Sunday. Today, now Tuesday, he is eating great but I think I see white spots, just a few, on the spine fin and tail.

Trying to catch him now, for a QT. Since this is such a sort time, can i avoid releasing ick into the tank, if that is what it is? It seems like it should just be contained on the tang.

What would you do? I know that I cant catch all my fish, having a hard time with the tang.

from my knowlesdge ich is always in your tank, whether the fish is healthy enough for it to adhere to the fish is another story. If it is just acouple of spots I would just leave him and see if it goes away, there is a Marc Weiss products that will take it of the fish quickly, I dont remember what it is called tho
