ID my tang pls

Anyone have an id on this guy? I've had this guy for almost a year and he is getting big quick! I can't tell if he's getting aggressive or he is just high energy but he is all over the place.

Either a lavender or an orange striated brisletooth. Had one never could tell the difference. I think he is probably a little from column a, a little from column b from my couple years experience.

I'd say bristletooth. FWIW bristletooth species are really easy to ID in person. Just look at the mouth straight on. The lower jaw forms a sort of V shape, as opposed to a typical Acanthurus species mouth.

Kind of hard to tell from the picture because he moves SO fast when I bring the camera around, but the spots on his face are super bright orange. He also has a very thin blue line along his top fin. Maybe that would have helped to put in the description.

Looks like Ctenochaetus striatus.

I like the C striatus ID, but it could indeed be a lavender tang, A nigrofuscus.
