ID needed w/picts

Found this floating at the bottom of the tank after a waterchange tonight. The long strand piece was connected to the small end of the base if that helps. Its about 1/2'' long streatched out. Looked to be dead or part of something else. Sorry for the blurry picts.

Missing a hermit? That's the abdominal region with eggs attached and the long bit is probably part of the digestive tract.

Leslie rulezzz on that one. Looks like something removed (half of) one of your hermit crabs, maybe another hermit did it. After the abdomen "dies," it releases its grip on the shell, and will float out...as yours did.
