Need an id on both of these guys.
Yes I know the bottom left is a feather duster,
It's the small red thingys that got me wondering?

And this guy?
He looks like a cold water mussel?
He came in on some LR, doesn't open very much and is easily scared to close back up.

Let me know thanks.

1-2, could be sponges im not positive but if you feel them and they dont pop that could mean there sponges. 3-4 looks like a cleaner clam or muscle like you said.i have one of thows myself on a pice of LR i got.

well i call them cleaner clams im not sure of there real name but its the same concept as a filter feeder just kinda sits there and breathes haha

the first group looks like some algae called Scinaia sp.. but it could be some kind of tunicate. hard to say until it grows :)

the second would just commonly be called a bi-valve. the name kind of covers all unknown clams, oysters, and mussels. like mariner908 said, they are harmless filter feeders.

the shell thing looks like a keyhole limpet from what i can see. if the shell is funnel shaped with a small hole in the top then thats what it is. i have one in my tank too.

The clam is probably not a cold water clam. It looks to be one of the Ark family, and there are several similar ones that live in the tropics. I'm at work now, but I'll try to give you an educated guess on the species name when I get home.

Cheers,

Don

The clam is probably Barbatia lima, but it could be another closely related species in the family Arcidae.

Cheers,

Don
