Can anyone tell me name of this coral, it is the larger green one next to the yellow polyops. It seems like it is starting to split where the mouth use to be.

It's a frilly green mushroom. Not sure on genus, though...

Thank you, it looks like it has a hole in it and was wondering if it was trying to become 2 different ones, it seems pretty healthy. I am very new to this, so thnaks for the reply.

How is it doing next to those yellow polyps? Those yellow polyps can pack a good punch!

Doing great, when I bought it it had a lot more but the mushroom is so big I can see another 20 or so under it when it closes at night.

That is good that the mushroom does not seem to be bothered by the yellow polyps. Just keep in mind those yellows can sting and do a number on other corals.
