Found this on my Monti the day I left for vacation... 3 of them, about 3/4" long while moving(stretched out) Now my girl called and said she thinks she sees bitemarks on my Carolina... she sent me a pic, but u know cell phone resolution. Any help would be great. Nothing like being on vacation and having to deal/ worry about this ****. She said she didn't see any eggs and the pic didn't look like there were any.

Thanks :(

Dave

he's confused..but I would have to agree AEFW....start turkey basting your corals.

Not confused ma man, found them on my pokerstar as messed up as that sounds. And yes, im very aware they are not Monti eaters that's why im lost as helllll.

Looks like AEFW, they roam around the rocks in search of new corals. Maybe it was on your monti in search of another acro but they don't only stay on coral, they definitely move around the rockscape.

Quite the bummer. What steps should I take now? Take them all out and dip them every 3 days/ baste them in the water and scrape the eggs.

That is what I would recommend. 3 days might be harsh, once a week should be fine for two months.

Sounds good. Hypothetically if I dip all of them and see nothing come off/ no eggs then should I assume its just a flatworm and not a aefw? I've had them before in my 75g and got rid of them but its been some time and I didn't have as many as I do in this one. Red bugs leave bite marks similar to aefw don't they? I get home tomorrow then ill do a thorough check.
