It looks like purple lace coral, just with a little denser growth pattern than typical. Lace coral is a NPS coral so will need regular feedings.
 
A reasoned guess without first hand observation but to me it appears to be a Helioporidae. There is only one species of Heliopora but it is highly adaptive and has many, many, many different growth forms/shapes. It is the only Octocoral known to produce a "massive" stony skeleton. Usually sold in trinket "ocean death" shops as "Blue-ridge" however when alive, viewed under 6.5k daylight, it is a shade of brown with whitish polyps.
