couple days ago, when I was feeding my display tank, I found a portion of a worm about 8" long still alive and flying out of the rock, since it's big and I didn't lose any fish or coral or anemone, I didn't make a big deal out of it.
today i found other parts of it, the background drop off tank is about 18" tall just for measurement reference. not sure if i got all of the worms, both half have one side is clearly where the cut happen, but both of other end looks to be the same, so i am not sure if 2 worms or just one worm both end looks alike. no moving rock or anything like that, i dont think there is a thing in my tank can cut it in half.

it's brown/blackish in color, its not the typical bristle worm.
my display is 300 bb sps tank.
sorry about the background noise, my carx dosing pump just starting to make that sound, i need to look into that.
as you can see, it got feathers/fins likes "legs".

For a second I thought please don’t be a fire or bobbit worm. Looks like a large bristle worm. I personally would flush it. I don’t invite large worms in any of my tanks.
I have a drop off also. What size and make is yours?

the dropoff is about 54-55ish gallons, i built it myself 3 weeks ago. its my summer anemone tank upgrade.
it's not fire or bobbit worm. i had fireworm before, since i have no lost of fish almost ever i highly double it's bobbit worm. it's not bristle worm as far as a typical one. i dont think it hurts anything in the tank. maybe snails, but since my trochus breed in the tank, so i have no idea if it eats them since i only bought 50 snails the past 3 years.
just want to know what it is, i keep the display bb so i dont have to deal with bristle worms and such.

Can you provide a close-up of the worm's head?
I had once worms that actually chewed a hole into my tanks silicon, causing the tank to leak.
