Been on the lookout for a Scarus quoyi ever since I saw one on that mad curved TOTM a few years ago. Please tell me I've finally hit the jackpot.

They are about 6" and in a popular importers here in Japan called Vessel. You should be able to get one somewhere in the States though. If I was you I'd ring around all the popular places that ship and see if you could order one.

Some fish are just damn hard to come by over here. I've been trying to get a pair of Blond Nasos for a year but can't find anything smaller than 9". For me 6" is the biggest I'd want to go on any new fish.

I haven't come across one here for at least a couple years. I wonder how complicated it would be to put my LFS in contact Vessel?

Ask Jason at Greenwich Aquaria. He has one in the main display and had an additional one for sale in the beginning of summer. Sure he can get you one if you ask.

$45 here. :)

Wasn't able to get through to him yesterday. I know he has one day off during the week and he works late (starts after lunch). It's lunchtime here now so will keep trying this afternoon.

64Ivy, they say they won't ship international. Sorry, but did try. I know Blue Harbour ship international as Chingchai has gotten fish from there. He might be able to put you in contact with someone there that speaks English (unless he speaks Japanese). Maybe you should PM him. I can help facilitate if needed.

On a brighter note, mine is ordered and probably coming out the wweekend. :)

No problem, I appreciate the effort.

As for Jason at GA, it was he who first got me interested in this fish over a year ago and is already on the lookout for me.

Old Town Aquarium in Chicago just listed one in their weekly newsletter. They ship and are top notch (Jim, one of the owners is often referenced by Scott Michael). Google and call to find out more.

Exactly what i was about to say, old town is great for fish, been able to see all types of rare livestock there over the years.
