Bought 1 of these at a quarter size for $90, at lfs they wanted $120 and said it was a ultra rose bubble tip anemone,
anyways within 3 months i have 7 now,, is it possible these really are what he told me, and ill be getting nice expensive anemones to sell, or are these just "knock offs" they keep splitting but stay close within each other if they weren't happy id figured they would walk, plus do these types of anemones get bigger,, so far they have never gotten bigger then a quarter, but sure do multiply ,, tank levels are all ok,, will post two pics for some help,, if u think u have identified, please supply link or pic of "PROOF", thanks. Not interested in opinions or i thinks just fact and Proof please.

Google Mojano's and go through a whole bunch of pics. Most are green, but they come in other colors. See if you can match one up. It's hard to tell, but if they are staying that small, it is suspicious.

Sometimes I don't understand these newer reefers (and I am not single you out; just a general observation). If you ask a question like that, to me you already have a pretty good idea of what you got. In fact, I would assume you know you have get a pest which is why you want proof from someone else trying to overwrite your assumption. You want an "expert" to say this isn't what you believe it's so you can feel better. In order to provide correct proof, you would have to send the animal to a lab and most likely need an expert to look at it under a microscope and potentially killing the animal in order to classify what it's. This is both unnecessary and a waste of time.

Would decades of experiences from thousands of reefers in this community good enough a proof for you?

The pictures you attached do not look like bubble tip. I would guess (95% just because by look is almost never a 100% positive given the variations) they are mojano. If you bought $90 a piece from a LFS, I would do 2 things:

1. Go back to them and show them a few pictures of bubble tip. Ask them why yours look so different. Ask for an explanation.

2. With some effort, you should be able to convince your LFS that they are not bubble tip. Please ask for a refund (and don't ever come back).

After you got your money back, research mojano. You would most likely need it. Good luck!

 As mentioned, the only way to get a 100% ID on those is to send them to a marine biology lab and have them disected and analyzed under a microscope.

True rose bubble tip anemones do not multiply as rapidly as yours are, and they are much larger than quarter size. You were ripped off. Plain and simple. Those are just a color variant of a pest mojano anemone.

My RBTA, notice the size and shape looks nothing like yours.

From someone that owns a RBTA, that isn't one. Google image search majano and see if your's matches. In any case, any anemone that is going to multiply like that will end up being a nightmare.

as stated in your other post. here is a pic of my RBTA and also look at Adrienne's they are not the same as yours. I would go back and get a refund. they should be happy to take them back now that they are getting more :D

If they won't take them back that's a sure sign. If one was worth $120 they should be beaming to get back a dozen.
