These little guys poped up in my tank.. I have about 7-8 of them..
I know they are hitchhickers..(or maybe not???)

can you pls tell me if they are ok.. or I need to remove them ASAP..

The tank is 30g for seahorses...

PS: I remember finding and reading about them but since "search" is not working I can't find the link again.. If anyone can send me the link that would be great..

thank you all in advance...

it looks like aptasia

Not too easy to cure but doable. I prefer some kent liqued calcium and a syringe. Just make sure you get it into the stalk. you will know within seconds if you did it right. they pop.

You need to do them all asap or they will take over your tank. If you see 8 there are prolly 50 already starting. get some peperment shrimp. they will eat the small ones but the big ones must be killed first.

DEf. get them out! sea horses can get trapped in them and get stung to death! you can get some 'joes juice' or a couple of peppermint shrimp as previously mentioned. what horses do you have?

lemon or lime juice will work too.
pure lemon or lime juice straight from the fruit not bottled.

dont try to pull them out or any of that mess. just go to the drug store and get a insulin syring for 10 cents and stick those bad boys. I like watching them blow up, its neet how they pop. when i do it my peperment shrimp love it. they almost get there before it pops then a few seconds after it poped they tear it apart and go to munchin.

You will not be able to control them with a needle. the peperment shrimp will control them. You are the heavy hitter while the shrimp is the reinforcments.

OK... But the question now is... do any of those chemicals would harm my seahorses??? even the lime or lemon juice
it's a seahorse tank..

ok... when I use calcium... do I just add into the water or I use an insulin syring and inject it??? sorry this is the first time I am dealing with these bad boys..

ok ok I just read the whole thing again and got my answer...
thank you guys.. I already ordered the peppermint shrimp..

thank you all
